The place the site was being hosted got raided by the FBI for some reason I'm not entirely sure of... Now you know; the FBI ruined your favourite website. A$$holes.

TheGimpPimp reborn? - April 13th, 2009 @ 2am
Well, I don't know what I'm going to do with the site now. I've been thinking I might redo it completely and have a new concept for it. If that happens it won't be for a while though because it will cost more for hosting and all of that. School is nearly over so I will think about it more then but for the time being those are my thoughts. Right now they are: XCF upload site, a site where you email me the best gimp artwork and i showcase it, the same as before only based off of wordpress or something to make my life easier. Whatever happens happens; it just has to be cheap enough for me to handle the bills. Site is still getting a 100+ visitors a day, sorry your just see some crappy dead site! Maybe it will be better soon.

TheGimpPimp is having some trouble! - March 19th, 2009 @ 2am
Kaput! TheGimpPimp.com will be down for a while, I have no clue how long. I might try to get it all back together one day but to be honest I think it's just about tired me out. At the moment I'm working on a design project and I'm worried about exams, and I have to think about getting a job in a crappy economy; so working on TGP is going to have to be ignored for a while.
I want to thank the people who have helped me out, my friend Matt in particular, but also those who have been part of the TGP community! GeorgeRiera has been one of the biggest helpers and I'll definitely have him back on the team if I ever get this thing going again. I have backups of most of the artwork that was on the server as well as anything in the forum, at least anything that happened before January 25th, 2009. If anyone wants something that they lost or has questions about how long it will be for the site to be back up (if ever), you can email me at thegimppimpadmin AT gmail DOT com.
It makes me a bit sad to lose the site, having worked on this thing for at least half a year while teaching myself how to program at the same time. Not to mention I really had to spruce up on my design skills! I learned a lot doing this and I hope that some people enjoyed and appreciated it. I hope you all keep using Gimp, it's a nice program! I have done a lot of cool stuff with it since I learned it, and yeah, I learned it just so I could make this site! I also went on to make a website for a spa that I think turned out well. Do me a favour if you live in the Toronto area and send this link to your mom or something, maybe she want a nice facial or that other thing they do at spas like umm let me check.. Peels! Toronto Spa, Urb Organic Spa.
Anyway, I have class at 10am and I have to pretend I'm having a good time so the proff likes me. I will update this later if anything comes up. Until then, thank you for visiting and come back later (like 2 months) to see if the sites back up =).
